Screenprinted limited edition skulls

A collection of 20 screenprinted and handcolored skulls are available either at the shop in Karlskrona konsthall or in Lund at Södra Esplanaden. They are all screenprinted with textile printing color on 250/300 gram watercolor paper, handcolored with batik paint and are all hand cut (half A3 size).
Costs 375 sek (40 EUR) + shipping.

These are illustrations for the Swedish newspaper ETC. The illustrations was made for their September-issue, regarding the 9/11 ten year anniversary of the world trade center attacks. The article was about why there´s been flourishing so many cospiracy theories after the attacks. A pretty sweet assignment since I love these subjects.

Old drawings, new scanner

I´ve finally got my hands on a A3 scanner. Fits me good since It´s a living hell otherwise to scan these drawings. Therefor I´m uploading some older stuff that I just haven´t been able to show before.
When I´m looking at these older drawings I am amazed how much more experimental they are. Of corse they are made in a different way but they have something repetitive and fantasizing about them in broader sense that my current pictures doesn´t have. It´s inspiring to look at your older pictures. Never throw anything away!

Today I´ve finished the inking on two new drawings. It takes so much time working with this handmade raster-technique but it´s definitely worth the while. My pictures have been more and more drawn to have a more comic based style lately, both in drawing style and the way the pictures works togheter. It really feels like I´ve started to bring in some new elements and influences and not being so restrained and definite in a certain kind of style or category. That feels just gr8. It´s easy to forget why you overall keep doing what you´re doing.

Tomorrow it´s time to start experimenting with various kinds of coloring.

I´m finally finished with a project that I have been working with for a while now. It´s called "The Code" and it´s drawing based upon patterns and symbols that started of as a doodle on the bus. It turned out to be a 14 pages long drawing. I have from there experimented with the drawing in various ways, mainly in screen-print technique and tried to explore the form and the context of the drawing to see where I would end up. It resulted in a second issue of "The little BIG ADVENTURE" zine that contains the whole drawing.
Unfortunately the zine will have to be on hold to be released for a while since it was just to much work to make a handmade collection out of it. I promise tho to release it sometimes after the holidays.
Since "Blogger" won´t let me post big pictures and I really can´t go into the whole template thing, take a preview look at the zine and get the whole drawing by downloading it.

I´ve just finished a zine with last months drawings. It´s printed on Colotech natural white, 200 g high quality paper with a high quality printer for best result and includes 12 drawings. Limited edition.

Teckning är sedan en tid tillbaka en del av den etablerade konstscenen, för att tidigare varit en ganska marginaliserad konstform. Utställningen ”Vad är teckning?” på Sigtuna Kulturgård undersöker svensk teckning och illustration som en samtida konstform. Medverkar gör några av Sveriges främsta unga samtida tecknare och illustratörer. Initiativet till utställningen kommer från Cecilia Levy, Anna Hedberg och Mattias Adolfsson, alla illustratörer, grafiska formgivare och konstnärer aktiva i Föreningen Sigtuna Kulturgård.
– Vi vill visa upp den samtida teckningen och ta reda på mer om unga svenska tecknare och deras arbete. Vi funderade på vilka vi ville ha med och så gott som alla tillfrågade tackade ja, berättar Anna Hedberg.
Utställningen pågår 25/9-9/10. Original av de medverkande konstnärerna är till salu under utställningen, dessutom kommer böcker och album av flera av utställarna att finnas till försäljning i butiken. Sigtuna Kulturgård är en ideell förening som driver galleri, hantverksbutik och har kursverksamhet för barn och vuxna i bland annat teckning, måleri och bokbinderi. Föreningen ställer ut konstnärer som verkar lokalt och i övriga Sverige.

Vernissage lördag 25/9. Utställningen pågår t.o.m. söndag 9/10.
Öppettider lördagar och söndagar 12-16 eller enligt överenskommelse.

This Easter holiday the Easter rabbit dropped some serious big eggs and I had the privilege to paint one of them! It´s a collaboration with various different Swedish graffiti writers and the eggs will be placed out on different spots in Malmoes inner city.
They will be presented on Wednesday so pictures will come up tomorrow when it´s time for release!
So if you´re in Malmoe during Easter, take a walk and see if you can find them.

The twin brother just got home. He had some things that he needed to sort out. Now when that is done, he´ll be ready to settle down.

Another one have entered our world.
It´s a female and was measured to be around one meter from hair-tip till toe and around two kilos in weight.
She was born without any complications and she is perfectly healty. No allergy or like have been detected.

Right at her birth she was adopted to a very nice lady with the only tension of bringing love into the little fellas life. Right now she´s resting.
Apperently she was born togheter with a boy, twins. No trace has been found of the little brother, not more than a note, describing how he need to fix some stuff before coming home.
Weird huh?
